Scent Description : A pleasant aroma (a bit like lemony Frankincense). Balsamic, spicy.

Elemi Essential Oil. A tropical tree (30 m high) yields a resinous extract with a pungent odour. Useful for skin preparations, particularly mature and rough, scaly skin. A harmonising oil useful in meditation, inducing a deep calm without drowsiness. A good fixative. Excellent in steam inhalations to treat bronchitis, catarrh and phlegm.

Elemi was used by the ancient Egyptians for embalming.

DILUTE TO 5% OR LESS IN A CARRIER OIL BEFORE SKIN APPLICATION. KEEP OUT OF EYES. DO NOT SWALLOW.
